Just back from three weeks in Israel, and full of thoughts and questions as a result.
Here's one, the result of the view from our Faculty Club room at Hebrew University -- every morning, if it wasn't cloudy, we'd look out and see the sun from over the eastern hills bathing the city of Jerusalem in dazzling light. (Apologies for the tilted picture below -- but it captures a bit of that light, gleaming especially on the Muslim Dome of the Rock.)
It was the kind of light in which one's eyes might open to religious truth -- as the eyes of Jews, Christians and Muslims have.
